Outfits Galore!

It's been a crafty week for me.  I finished an outfit for Evie this week out of fabric I bought a year ago for this project, nothing like getting right on a project!  Also, I made an outfit for Tyfanny's daughter, Avarie (for her 3rd birthday).  Hopefully it will fit!  I'm a little nervous about that...

Do you know how hard it is to get a good picture of an outfit ON A 17 MONTH OLD?  I think I need help from my husband next time I try that.

Details for you sewing folks out there:  both pants are "britches & bloomers",  Evie's top is Simplicity 4243 and Avarie's top is just a Children's Place white shirt with coordination fabric.

I feel like this is a model shot or something...gazing off in the distance.

Just trying to show the pants.  Not having great luck.

Avarie's outfit.

Cute little ruffles!!!

My very first attempt at 'embellishing' a t-shirt to coordinate with pants.  I hope it holds up!  It's got an iron-on backing and then some decorative stitches on the top edges.  We'll see.

It is amazing and Avarie LOVES it! You will see her sporting this precious new outfit on Monday... so bring along your camera as getting a picture of a 3 year old can be a bit easier than a 17 month old. :)

Very cute outfit! I noticed Evie's at church last Sunday (?),and thought it was super cute! You did a great job! (And yes---I think that one pic of Evie is also a "model shot"! Definitely should be framed in your home!)

Cute outfit. How fun. I'll have to make something like that for Isabelle. Congratulations on your quarter time position at the church.

LOVE these! Thanks for sharing - how fun to see your projects! I think I remember you showing us the fabric when you bought it last year for Evie's outfits. Cute, cute stuff. I just bought Amy Butler's "In Stitches" book and am excited to try some stuff out. You are inspiration!

Christi -

Super impressed. I'm cruising around looking at all your creative endeavors - impressed! Do you have an Etsy site? You should. Sometimes, buyers just want to find someone creative enough to sew clothes or make jam - it's not always about being a Lena Corwin or an Amy Butler. BTW, you should check out the patterns at Oliverands.com - they're super cute.

Have a great New Year -
